In A Scandal in Belgravia, Sherlock asks Watson to punch him in the face and doesn't say why. Of course, Watson is caught off guard and wonders why and Sherlock asks again and questions if Watson heard him in which Watson delivers this amazing quote that can pretty much sum up everyone's idea of Sherlock's brilliant mind. After all this happens, they make their way to Irene Adler's house and Sherlock acts as if he was attacked by someone random and he is let in and when he waits on Irene Adler, she then appears completely nude.
