5. Quentin Tarantino - "I'm Shutting Your Butt Down"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=GrsJDy8VjZk While doing the press rounds for his latest film Django Unchained, Quentin Tarantino was being asked left and right about the film's depiction of violence, given that its release coincided with the Sandy Hook elementary school shooting just a week earlier. Even before they get to this, something seems off between interviewer Krishnan Guru-Murthy and Tarantino, with Guru-Murthy coming off as condescending, asking dumb questions which rattle the director, who has never been known to stand down from a challenge. Guru-Murthy making it clear he either hasn't seen the film or wasn't paying attention does little to help things (suggesting there's rape in it), and his line of questioning causes Tarantino to end up refusing to answer entirely. Tarantino tells him he's "shutting butt down", refusing to placate his trite questions about violence for the sake of ratings. Of course, Tarantino forgetting that the interview is for a news show rather than an entertainment one makes him seem a little silly, and his aggressive demeanour doesn't help, but whichever side you come down on, it's horrible to watch.
