10 Most Disappointing TV Shows Of 2018
2. Making A Murderer
Making A Murderer is one of the buzziest Netflix shows to date, with EVERYONE talking about it in that late-2015, early-2016 period. One of the reasons it worked so well, though, is that it had a real story to tell. It was filmed over the course of a decade, so there was lots of information to pack in, keeping viewers gripped as the various cases and wrongdoings came to light.
Part 2, however, has arrived just three years later, in an age where the Steven Avery case has been much more well known. Still, the first was exciting, and it's the same filmmakers, so it must have something, right? This is, after all, Making A Murderer - the show that started a true crime craze (well, alongside podcast Serial).
Sadly, no. Instead, we get a drawn-out follow up that doesn't need to exist. There's no intrigue, hardly any new material, and while the production values are infinitely better (thanks to Netflix being onboard from the get-go), it covers some similar beats without adding anything fresh.
