10 Most Disturbing Moments In The Walking Dead
4. Carol Executes Lizzie
Following the destruction of the prison, Tyreese, Carol, Lizzie, Mika and Judith bunker down in a remote little cottage that offers some relief from their travel and plenty of food and water nearby. Their set up is so good that they even consider staying put permanently instead of travelling on to Terminus.
Good things, however, are never meant to last in this world.
10-year-old Lizzie seems to have been struggling with some pre-apocalypse problems and this has been causing her many issues in adapting to life surrounded by walkers.
Lizzie claims that the walkers are not dangerous and are just simply different, and in an attempt to prove this to Carol and Tyreese, she brutally murders her younger sister.
Carol and Tyreese discuss their options, with Carol accepting the fact that Lizzie is simply too dangerous to be around people.
Carol leads the disturbed girl to the pastures behind the house and executes her with a single shot to the back of the head.
You may have found Lizzie annoying and were happy to say goodbye to her character, but at the end of the day, this is a mentally-ill child that had to be put down because no one could help her.
It doesn't get much more depressing than that.
