10 Most Emotional Big Bang Theory Moments
5. A Different Side To Sheldon
As beloved Star Wars fans, the guys do of course celebrate Star Wars Day each year. While planning their festivities for the annual event one year though, Leonard reveals the upsetting news to Sheldon that Arthur Jeffries, better known to them as Professor Proton, had passed away. In true Sheldon fashion, he refused to show any sort of emotion regarding the situation.
Once Star Wars Day arrived though, it became clear throughout the day that Arthur's death was affecting Sheldon more and more. While Leonard and Penny were at the funeral (Sheldon didn't want to go), Sheldon ran out the room while he, Howard, and Raj were watching all the Star Wars movies. Following some dreams about Arthur, Leonard returned from the funeral and in untraditional Sheldon Cooper fashion, he gave Leonard a tight hug.
It was a moment we'd never thought we would ever see from Sheldon. For as long as the show had been going on, any hug involving him was always an awkward encounter, and it was rarely him who gave the hugs out. The death of one of his beloved childhood heroes showed us that Sheldon does indeed have emotions like the rest of the gang.
