8. Richard Simmons – Living Scenery
As well as having guest panelists on the show, ‘Whose Line’ would also occasionally have guest stars appear on the show to take part in some of the games.
Arguably, the most memorable guest star the show ever had was the flamboyant fitness instructor, Richard Simmons. If you don’t know who Richard Simmons is, he’s hard to describe, he really has to be seen to be believed.
The entire show descended into chaos as soon as Simmons arrived. This was most evident during the unforgettable game of ‘Living Scenery’ he participated in with Ryan, Colin and Wayne.
‘Living Scenery’ is a game where some of the performers or guests fill in as makeshift props during a scene. This particular scene saw Ryan and Colin as a couple on a cruise, whilst Wayne and Richard filled in as the props.
The use of Richard Simmons as a telescope and a ‘shiny’ deck chair sent the performers and audience into frenzied laughter, making for an all-time classic moment of ‘Whose Line’.
