Yes, there are still that many characters alive...

Well, are there any characters left? Game Of Thrones Season 6 was a bloodbath to say the least, and while most deaths were spectacularly handled, it leaves few contenders for Season 7.

Ramsay, Tommen, Margaery, Loras, the High Sparrow, Rickon, Kevan Lannister, HODOR, Grand Maester Pycelle, Aliser Thorne, Olly (#F***Olly), Walder Frey, the Blackfish, Trystane Martell, Balon Greyjoy, Walda Frey (and baby son), Mace Tyrell, the Waif, Lancel, the Three-Eyed Raven, Roose Bolton, Wun-Wun and a whole load more ended up as corpses.

But who does that leave? Well, it's testament to the Thrones team that they actually have enough key players left in the game.

And while Season 6 ended horribly for most characters, others severely boosted their reputations with the fans. Side characters have mounted charges to become regulars, and main characters have become more like the dominant figures they're supposed to be, but who is your most improved character following Season 6?

10. Yara Greyjoy

A lot of talk revolved around the introduction of Euron Greyjoy before the season started. He came with a brutal reputation and an explosive personality in the books, but we're yet to see his TV character take off.

Instead, the Ironborn storyline was laid upon Yara and Theon to carry, and while they were intentionally omitted for large spells, they were impressive in their roles, with an intriguing end point.

Yara particularly has grown from a grim secondary figure into a steely leader. She is still Yara, with moments of coldness, but she feels like a more rounded character with a real future in the show.
