10 Most Infuriating TV Series Finales

7. Seinfeld

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=MECtoQ9YL3Q The classic sitcom Seinfeld features such an array of WTF moments in its final episode that its creator, Larry David, even decided to mock it and then devise an alternate finale within his brilliant show Curb Your Enthusiasm. 76 million people tuned in for the Seinfeld finale's first airing, to witness Elaine, Jerry, Kramer and George be put on trial for breaking the apparent "Good Samaritan Law" by not helping someone who was being carjacked, and basically being all-round douchebags. In short, this episode is basically a clip sh0w, fleeting back to various moments that prove how selfish and horrible the four of them are, while bringing back some old characters for really the sake of sentimental tokenism. At the end of the episode, the four are sentenced to a year in prison for "doing nothing", and that's really it. It's as though Larry David wanted to try something daring and differnet but didn't really know where to go with it; did we want to see the four strung up and punished like this? No. Were they sometimes inconsiderate and douchey? Of course, but that's the source of the humour; the final episode felt like a half-hearted punchline that just didn't work.
