8. Children Of The Forest 'Fireballs'

The Children of the Forest are an ancient breed of incredibly powerful beings that were thought to be extinct until they rocked up in the Season 4 finale to rescue Bran & Co. They were mysterious, and all we knew is that they had experience of dealing with the White Walkers.

That later proved hugely significant, as it transpired they actually created the Walkers, and have since seemingly been wiped out again. Before that, though, they were just iceball throwing children - but damn, could they do a hell of a lot of damage, instantly destroying wights with their magically-enhanced weapons.
