10 Most Rewatchable TV Shows Of 21st Century

4. Rick And Morty

Michael Scott The Office
Adult Swim

As far as goofy animations go, Rick and Morty takes the cake. This Adult Swim masterpiece takes viewers on absurd adventures through space and time. Unlike other AS offerings, Rick and Morty is notably darker which makes it all the more enjoyable.

Like The Big Bang Theory, one might not catch all of the jokes the first time through. Peel back the layers during rewatches and you're primed for lessons in philosophy and science. Most of the jokes, while humourous, are far more entertaining when you dive deeper into their meaning.

If you're not searching for a show that will send you into an existential crisis if you ponder too powerfully, Rick and Morty still delivers oodles of fun in its absolutely maddening plots. Despite being a show layered with meaning, it never takes itself too seriously (for instance, young and timid Rick turns himself into a pickle to avoid going to therapy).

Because the characters can portal-hop through time and space, mucking up different universes and alternate realities in ridiculous fashion, the show goes as far down the rabbit hole as possible. Spoiler alert: they combine the DNA of Abraham Lincoln and Adolph Hitler in one episode.

Any offer to rewatch Rick and Morty can only be answered one way: "You son of a b*tch, I'm in."
