10 Most Shocking Ozark Moments

Ozark has been a huge hit for Netflix and after season 3's cliffhanger finale there's no sign of slowing down yet. Over 3 seasons fans have followed the Byrde family as they've learned to cope with laundering money for the cartel while still trying to have a somewhat normal life.

However, the word "normal" has to be used loosely as murder, drugs, kidnapping, torture and evading the FBI are just some of the things they've experienced while adjusting to their new home.

Luckily for fans, these past three seasons have also provided us with witty dialogue, crazy scenarios and jaw-dropping cliffhangers, and in a show chock full of shocking moments we wanted to highlight some of the best of them.

This list will highlight the moments that left fans shocked, surprised and frantically rewinding to figure out what the hell they just watched. Honorable mention goes out to some big moments like Ben's death, Ruth electrocuting her uncles, Darlene and Wyatt's "situationship" among others. These are all important moments that have shock value but didn't quite make the list.

Pastor Mason and his pregnant wife, Grace held church in boats on the water because they didn't have the money for a physical church. They soon meet the Byrdes who promised to build them one, not knowing they were using the construction to launder money. Unfortunately, when the Snells who were "donating" bibles (lined with heroin) to the Masons found out they would no longer be preaching on the water they knew it would affect their heroin distribution and threatened Marty to stop construction.

When Mason finally discovers what Marty has been doing he confronts him. Marty explains the danger Mason and his wife would be in if they don't comply with the Snells to no avail, and his wife gets kidnapped and killed, but not before they deliver her unborn baby.

Now knowing that his wife is dead, his baby is kidnapped and his church was a drug front Mason snaps. He kidnaps Wendy in an attempt to get his son back and Marty goes to save her. Unfortunately, there's no reasoning with him and Marty is forced to shoot him in the neck before he hurts Wendy. A sad death for a once pure person.
