10 Most Shocking TV Episode Endings
8. Mr. Robot - Eps3.5_kill-pr0cess.inc
Mr. Robot's third season is a perfect example of a show in its prime, firing on all cylinders with major, game-changing events occurring week after week. It's a shame though, because after the mixed reception of season 2, almost nobody was watching it.
The most shocking moment (in a season filled with shocking moments), came at the end of its sixth episode, in which Elliot sees the news that seventy-one E-Corp buildings were blown up, killing thousands of innocent people. It's a harrowing moment of defeat for our main characters, from Elliot, who'd tried so hard to stop the attack, to Angela, who thought she was only blowing up one evacuated building, not seventy-one full ones.
More importantly, this is an ending that cements Whiterose as the main villain. It's a moment where the audience realizes that Elliot, Dom, Darlene, Angela, and even Mr. Robot himself, were all unwitting pawns in Whiterose's chess game.
