10 Netflix Documentary Series EVERYONE Should Binge

7. Wild Wild Country

Tiger King
Netflix

Wild in its name and wild in its content. This Netflix Original accounts the growth and culture of the Rajneeshpuram community in the 1980s.

The Rajneeshee populace, located in the Oregon desert, was led by its mystic, religious founder and "sex guru", Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, also known as Osho, along with Ma Anand Sheela, his personal assistant.

The Duplass Brothers' coverage of this profound true tale earned them an Outstanding Documentary Award at the 2018 Creative Arts Emmys, but didn't go without it's fair share of criticism.

Breaking the Spell writer and contributor, Jane Stork, was vocal about the community's involvement in sexually assaulting women and children, including her own, which is never mentioned in the series. On the other end of the spectrum, the film and the events in it are accused of being part of a White House conspiracy by the administrators of the Osho International Foundation.

Wild, Wild Country makes for a great watch and a fascinating internet search after.
