10 Once Great TV Shows That Descended Into Madness

Twin Peaks There are many TV shows that never grow stale. They remain consistently awesome for their entire run and the last episode is just as good as the pilot. Some shows which spring to mind immediately include Wings, Married€With Children, and King of the Hill. Unfortunately this is a rarity in the world of television and the majority of shows fall apart at one point for some reason or the other. These shows usually overstay their welcomes and instead of being allowed to die with a shred of dignity they putter along until no one-even the most devoted and loyal fans-bothers to tune in anymore. For your reading pleasure I€™ve put together a list of once great shows that descended into madness.

10. Dexter

2678.Dexter vga article.jpg-610x0 OK Dexter, what happened to you? At one point you were one of the best shows on television and I (along with millions of other viewers) couldn€™t wait for Sunday night so we could follow you on your adventures. For at least five seasons you kept me enthralled with your well-written storylines and excellent plot twists and turns, but something changed halfway into the sixth season. Things started off promising enough that season but before I knew it I found myself losing interest thanks to the fact that the writing started to get a little half-assed feeling to it as if the writers just didn€™t care anymore. Still I didn€™t give up on it and told myself that things would be better when the seventh season started up. I was wrong. If anything the seventh season was even worse and was all over the place. It was obvious that the writers didn€™t have a clue what they were doing and as a result this season was wracked with silly subplots, storylines that didn€™t go anywhere, and a major villain who basically becomes a good guy and is killed off several episodes before the finale. In short season seven was a total and complete train wreck. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the upcoming (and final) season will be better, but I€™m not getting my hopes up.
