10 Predictions For The Marvel Netflix Series

4. Iron Fist Series Will Serve As Try Outs For Defenders

A secondary reason for having multiple team-ups in Iron Fist (other than it being a whole bunch of fun) is that popular matches can be identified and utilized for the Defenders mini-series. With this aim in mind, viewers can expect some unlikely, but entertaining, match-ups. The producers of the Iron Fist series will want several prominent female characters to star alongside Danny. Most likely of all these female characters is Misty Knight, mainly because she would be easy to bring to the screen. But don't be surprised if the producers feel that the mythology of the Thor films is worth plundering: the Valkyrie could easily be introduced in Iron Fist. By this point in the grand Netflix plan, viewers will have grown accustomed to the superhero shenanigans of the spandex brigade, allowing for steadily more outlandish escapades to be presented without shattering the audience's willing suspension of disbelief. It's a safe bet that if a viewer were to compare the first episode of Daredevil with the last episode of Iron Fist, he'd detect a seismic shift in the overall level of cheesiness. Which is not necessarily a bad thing, since grittiness can be tiresome after a while.
