10 Problems With Game Of Thrones Nobody Wants To Admit
10. Peter Dinklage's Accent Isn't That Good
Besides having a name that's apparently perfect to sing along with the show's theme tune, Peter Dinklage's performance as Tyrion Lannister is one of the main draws for Game Of Thrones. The character is a fan favourite, the disgraced son of House Lannister who makes the best of his situation by having hard-to-parse loyalties and lots of sex with prostitutes. Dinklage is a heck of an actor. That's not exactly a revelation: he's been a jobbing performer for decades, with small parts in films like In Bruges, Elf, and now bigger roles in the likes of X-Men: Days Of Future Past will attest to his acting ability. His performance is what really brings the character to life. Which is all the more impressive when you consider that the strength of his performance manages to transcend the terrible British accent he's putting on as Tyrion. Surrounded by lots of actual Brits, his attempts at sort of pan-United Kingdom speech pattern pale in comparison.
