Monica and Chandler moved away and started a family, Ross
and Rachel finally got together, Phoebe started her new life with husband, Mike, and Joey, you know, got his own spin off, I guess? There was nothing more to
develop.
The show began, ostensibly, as a telling of the group’s trials and tribulations as young adults trying to find their footing in the city. By the end of it, they had all experienced some sort of resolution and it was a fitting conclusion.
Even if some monumental changes have occurred in their lives since 2004, I’m not sure I want to know about them. It’s much more satisfying to let the viewers' imagination take the characters' lives where they want them to go.
