3. The One Where He Gets Irrationally Jealous And Possessive of Rachel
After Ross and Rachel have been together for some time, she decides to further her career and ends up with her dream job, in the fashion department of luxury store Bloomingdales. Rachel is very happy, shes doing something she really loves, and she has new friends. Except one of them is a guy, so Ross obviously feels threatened. But instead of talking about it like a grown-up, he practically begins stalking Rachel in attempt to mark his territory and establish ownership of her. He demands endless proof she doesnt fancy Mark, shows up unannounced at her office with a huge bunch of flowers, and even sends a mariachi band to serenade her at work. No woman could enjoy her job so much that she likes to work hard! So the only other explanation open to Ross is that Rachel is sleeping with someone else. As many of you will have spotted, this is the classic behaviour of a cheater project your own actions onto others and lo-and-behold, not long after his ridiculous behaviour, Rachel suggests they take a break.
