10 Reasons You’re Wrong About Fear The Walking Dead

2. Walkers Aplenty

"But... It's the Walking Dead, without any walking dead." Yes, that's a complaint, but surely that's the entire point of the show? It doesn't start X months into the chaos, it doesn't even start X days into it. Fear The Walking Dead starts before the outbreak is realised to be a major problem. It's a common bug, according to most at the beginning. If the Pilot had thrown hordes of walkers straight in, there'd be absolutely no point in the entire series. It would've been exactly the same as TWD from the very first episode, and that would've ruined its credibility and importance. The slow-reveal of walkers, the steady introduction of more undead, and the lack of zombies in one entire episode offered up something very different. There's an enormous walker surge during the finale, but not before the entire season set up the outburst. Those fans who demanded walkers, you have what you asked for.
