10 Robin Williams TV Appearances You Must Watch

6. Wilfred

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzlsDRd9ZLg Wilfred is a strange but entertaining comedy show on FX adapted from the original Australian series of the same title. In it, after Elijah Wood€™s Ryan unsuccessfully attempted to commit suicide, he€™s asked by his neighbor Jenna to look after her dog. Ryan sees and hears the dog, named Wilfred -- portrayed by the series€™ co-creator, Jason Gann -- as a pot-smoking, foul-mouthed Australian guy in a dog costume. In the show€™s second season premiere, Robin Williams guest starred as Elijah Wood€™s therapist, after the latter had checked himself into a mental institution following a breakdown. It€™s a strange episode of a strange show, no doubt, but Robin is entertaining within. The show makes reference to Williams€™ famous line, €œIt€™s not your fault€ from Good Will Hunting -- Elijah even bluntly points out the line€™s origin. In the end, it€™s revealed that Robin€™s therapist character is actually just a figment of Ryan€™s imagination -- thus explaining the references within the episode. Robin€™s guest appearance on Wilfred is by no means a historical moment. However, it is an entertaining and interesting little footnote in his career.
