5. Stargirl
The DC Universe's latest foray into original programming, Stargirl has been entertaining fans both on the streaming service and through its weekly broadcast on The CW - and it will continue to do so well into the summer.
Created by DC legend Geoff Johns, the show centers on teenager Courtney Whitmore who, following a move to Nebraska, discovers that her humorous stepdad Pat used to be Starman's sidekick. And after the aforementioned hero's Cosmic Staff chooses her to be his successor, Courtney attempts to stop the Injustice Society as Blue Valley's new hero: Stargirl.
In an era bogged down with too many broody superheores, Stargirl is a breath of fresh air that is as well-written as it is enjoyable, and you should absolutely binge the first half of the season this summer before enjoying new episodes every Monday/Tuesday (depending on where you watch it).
