3. Game Of Thrones - Worst Unaired Pilot In History
Since the release of the book, Fire Cannot Kill A Dragon, many details about the behind the scenes of the most popular series of the last decade, Game Of Thrones, have come out about what happened on set. Including how awful the unaired pilot was.
This isn't just an isolated opinion either: it's something that crew members, the show makers, the cast and George R. R. Martin all agree on.
Some of the major issues included tacky costuming, like how Lena Headey's character Cersei was dressed like "a medieval Dolly Parton" and that Tyrion had a terrible wig on (which can be seen in a scene or two of the aired pilot).
Another serious issue was the confusing storylines that just weren't portrayed clearly enough to the audience. For example, viewers were unable to pick up on the fact that Jaime and Cersei were actually siblings. And, unbelievably, Emilia Clarke did not play Daenerys Targaryen in the unsuccessful pilot, another actress played the character!
The episode was reshot, but roughly 15% of the unaired pilot was put back into the one we saw, and that is why there are discrepancies when it comes to some of the characters' hair and make-up.
