7. You Know Why Tony Hawk Is There

Tony Hawk is arguably the most famous, mainstream skateboarder of all time. This is due to his history making talent as well as effective merchandising of his brand over the years. In particular, his skateboarding video games are mainstays of the industry. Well, as long as you ignore that last release from Activision.

He also pops up in all three Jackass movies, though very briefly in the third one. In the first two, he's an active participant in some of the stunts alongside BMX legend Matt Hoffman.

Many of the Jackass boys are heavily involved in the world of action sports, particularly Bam Margera who is a playable character in one of Tony Hawk's games. Also, creator Jeff Tremaine was the editor of a skate magazine so the connections are obvious.
