10 Sitcom Characters You'd Hate To Live With

Father Ted Father Jack It's that time of year when first year university students start to find out who they'll be living with and getting completely hammered with for the next year. Some will make lifelong friends, a few might even fall in love, and a lot more (like the poor sods who lived with me two years ago) are in for a rough year. No matter how easy sitcoms make it look, flatshares and houseshares are never free of problems. It can be a clash of personalities or it could just be that some of the people you're living with are absolutely insufferable. And despite a lot of sitcom characters being written and performed as wacky or loveable, some of them would make really awful housemates. So in honour of this year's new batch of university students and the houseshare experiences they'll be starting next month, we've compiled a list of sitcom characters it would be terrible to live with...

10. Monica Geller €“ Friends

Friends Monica While Monica's compulsive cleaning and obsession for things being organised would make life easier for you in some respects (you'd never have to clean anything again for instance), it also has the potential to make sharing a flat with her a very trying experience. Living with such an obsessive control freak would be enough to wear almost anyone out and her domineering personality would make it difficult for anyone without balls of steel to stand up to her and tell her to relax. Instead, it would be far easier to just toe the line and brace yourself for when something doesn't meet her standards. But don't try and fight her because, as her husband Chandler put it, she is freakishly strong.
