10 Small Details You Missed In The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power Trailer

At the end of the trailer, Nori helps a scantily-clad man climb out of a fiery pit. If you looked closely, this character, who is called The Stranger, is emerging from where the shooting star impacted, implying he was inside the celestial body. Because The Stranger apparently fell from the heavens, his true identity will obviously be a massive component to the overarching plot.

So who is he? Sauron in disguise? A brand-new character? Tom Bombadil?

However, some fans have a much more intriguing answer. In The Lord of the Rings novel, it's mentioned how five emissaries were sent to Middle-Earth to help all races unite against Sauron. These emissaries were called Istari, but are better-known by a different name - Wizards.

Because The Rings of Power will focus on Sauron becoming The Dark Lord, it makes perfect sense that The Stranger would be the first Wizard sent to warn the inhabitants of Middle-Earth. And since The Stranger has a dishevelled appearance, he certainly looks the part, so this theory doesn't sound that far-fetched.

So, which Wizard could he be? Radagast? Saruman? Gandalf? Sadly, we won't know for certain until the show premiers. (My money is still on Tom Bombadil.)
