10 Star Wars Actors You Never Knew Were In Doctor Who

8. Hugh Quarshie

Switching to the new series for a minute, and proving that the good guys get to play in the sandbox too, this one may be a bit more obvious, due to both of these roles being relatively recent. And while both of them are in stories that divide the fans of their particular fandom, Hugh Quarshie's performances were stand-outs. Born in Ghana, Quarshie and his family moved to the United Kingdom when he was only three years old. His acting career began as Othello, while still in school, and he has many roles on stage and screen under his belt. Roles in such films and television shows as The Highlander, Holby City, The Church, and Titus Andronicus have cemented Qqurshie as a dependable actor. The Royal Shakespeare Company member had a stand-out role in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace as Captain Panaka, the captain of the Queen's guard who becomes an Imperial Moff. In Doctor Who he played the role of protector again, this time guarding the residents of Hooverville in the two part story Daleks in Manhattan/Evolution of the Daleks alongside fan favorite 10th Doctor, David Tennant.

Carl has been a comic shop impresario, comic book illustrator, record store clerk, electronic musician, late night radio DJ, club promoter, graphic designer, and other cool things you wish you could be. He mistakenly had purple dreadlocks once. For three years. Which made him way less cool. He doesn't actually know what the word impresario means, and is way too lazy to Google it. Carl is also an American, and for that he apologizes.
