Early in their careers Tobey Maguire and Leonardo DiCaprio met at an audition and instantly became good friends. The two would continue a friendly rivalry as they auditioned for the same roles - often with DiCaprio snagging the role and using his status to land work for his friend as well. It's really no surprise then to find out that both had minor appearances on Roseanne in the early nineties. While DiCaprio found success much earlier than Maguire with his breakout role in Who's Eating Gilbert Grape before skyrocketing to fame after Titanic, he actually had the more minor role on Roseanne. Leo appeared in episode sixteen of season three in a non-speaking role as one of Darlene's classmates. Tobey appeared just one episode later as a friend to the guy Darlene is currently crushing on. Of course, Maguire too found himself skyrocketed to fame as well when he was cast as Peter Parker - aka Spider-Man - in the film based on the costumed teenagers origin and subsequent adventures.
