His 1968 "folk troubadour" hits included the unforgettable If I Had A Hammer and the undeniably catchy The Ballad Of Bilbo Baggins, a video of which is included above. It is literally impossible to listen to this song without wanting to hum or sing along with it. People who think being cool is important might pretend not to like the song, but anyone with truly good taste can only hold up their hands in surrender and admit that it's so bad it's actually good. Nimoy's association with music didn't end in the 1960s, however. In 2011, he starred in the alternate video for Bruno Mars' Lazy Song.
