7. Amber Simpson
The name Amber Simpson might not ring any bells immediately, so would it surprise you to find out she is Homer’s bigamous second wife? Yup, that's right - Homer had more than one set of nuptials in The Simpsons canon, except when he married Amber, he was actually still married to Marge. D’oh!
This all came to pass in the episode “Viva Ned Flanders”, in which Homer takes his mourning neighbourino to Las Vegas to help him move on from the death of his wife Maude. After one too many Flaming Moe cocktails, the two frenemies end up agreeing to marry two cocktail waitresses named Amber and Ginger.
Fast forward a few days, and the women land in Springfield to cause chaos in their hubbies’ old lives – although Ginger is quick to leave after she comes to the realisation that Ned is just too nice.
After eventually falling for a plot in which she is tricked into marrying Grampa Simpson, Amber would be killed off at a local theme park, the cause of death an off screen drug overdose, which is still pretty dark, even by The Simpsons standards.
