10 Things BBC Wants You To Forget About Jeremy Clarkson

8. Being Friends With David Cameron

By far the most bizarre thing to emerge from the latest Clarkson incident has been David Cameron's impassioned defence of the presenter. "I don't know exactly what happened. He is a constituent of mine, he is a friend of mine, he is a huge talent" Cameron commented when asked about the incident. As if that wasn't bad enough he went on to say "I see that he said he regrets some of what happened. All I would say - because he is a talent and he does amuse and entertain so many people, including my children who'll be heartbroken if Top Gear is taken off air - I hope this can be sorted out because it is a great programme and he is a great talent." Proof enough, if any more was needed, that Clarkson and everyone like him should be taken as far away from a television camera as humanly possible. Having outdated and backwards opinions is one thing, but bringing joy into the Cameron household is quite another.
