10 Things We Learned From Twin Peaks: The Return Part 15

5. RIP Duncan Todd

15 Mr C
Showtime

There were just three Las Vegas-set scenes.

The first saw the Las Vegas branch of the FBI bungle their attempt to locate the correct Douglas Jones - something Gordon Cole could have narrowed down for them in Part 14, but in not doing so at least called for some prime raging by a scenery-chewing Jay R Ferguson in a funny non-sequitur.

The second spelled the end for Duncan Todd, and not to get too ghoulish about things, it was probably about time; for an evidently successful criminal, the man was useless at carrying out orders from above. Then again, the Black Lodge forces of Philip Gerard did undo his careful planning. In any event, he was removed from this mortal coil by a decisive gunshot to the face administered by an aloof Chantal. The act of killing Duncan and assistant Roger only moved her into a state of irritation and hunger. This leaves just one plot thread dangling in Vegas. The reimbursed Mitchum Brothers' arc has ended. Ditto the redeemed Anthony Sinclair.

The third Vegas-set scene might have absolved Chantal of the double part of her header...
