8. She Was Bullied For Her Looks (And Then Became A Model)

While it's her acting ability that deserves the focus, there is no denying that Ritter is a very attractive woman. With that in mind, it comes as a bit of surprise to hear that she was bullied in school because of her appearance. She admits that she was totally picked on by boys and girls, on account of being "really lanky and skinny", with one of the insults they would say to her being "turn sideways and stick out your tongue, you look like a zipper."

Yeah, kids can be horrible, but credit to Ritter for not letting it affect her. In fact, while they may have been criticising her appearance, at age 15 she was spotted by a modelling agency, and spent part of her high-school years in New York and Philadelphia for modelling shoots. By age 18, she was embarking on a career as an international model. Safe to say she had the last laugh.
