It's the height of any actor's career, recording the voice for a disenchanted, internet meme cat, and Plaza succeeded in doing exactly that. Grumpy Cat - who's real name is Tardar Sauce - was a web sensation for a time after surfacing in 2012, while a year later, the cat's image value rose to around $1 million. Plaza said: "Once I realised that the cat's mouth wasn't going to move, I just kind of went for it, and thought, 'Well, if it's just going to cut to the cat and I can say my line, then I can just comment on other things, too.' You're getting Grumpy's commentary throughout the whole thing, but then Grumpy is also starring in the story." The movie reviews were inevitably negative on the whole, though some saw it for what it was, and actually praised the film for being completely terrible. It's just another weird, wacky, and wonderful moment in the career of the Queen of Quirkiness, Aubrey Plaza.
