You can only really grasp the scale of Game Of Thrones once you step back, rewind, and start all over again. Five seasons, with 10 episodes in each, doesn't seem like a great amount compared to some behemoth US boxsets, but when you consider the incredible transformation of the show, you'll fall in love with it all over again.

Remember Tyrion's 'Bieber' phase? Yeah, that happened. But while that 'do' was of course completely irrelevant to the actual plot (unless the White Walkers pick their prey based on bleak haircuts...) there are many storylines rumbling on from the very beginning that are still relevant in the current proceedings.

There's an abundance of foreshadowing, character traits you simply forgot about, and even direct signs of where the show was headed years in advance. To go forward, sometimes it's worth looking back.

So with Season 6 right around the corner, let's take a look at each season in order to pick out some major aspects that are important to remember, and other moments you simply forgot about.

10. Daenerys' Bath

It's interesting to note how Daenerys' very first scene heavily points towards her final appearance in Season 1. At the beginning she's shy, innocent, and being totally dominated by her brother Viserys. She is told to take a bath that has been drawn for her, but despite the handmaiden's warnings of the water being too hot, she lowers herself in.

The scene feels fairly ordinary upon the first watch, she's a young girl with a high tolerance of heat and disregard for her own safety. However, it's quite clearly a nod to Daenerys' entering Drogo's funeral pyre with the dragon eggs. She emerges unscathed.

They're both strikingly similar scenes, and after watching it again, you can clearly see that Daenerys' debut is anything but ordinary.
