R + L = J. Three letter and two symbols that could shape the future of the show. It's the previously mentioned theory that will almost certainly become reality in the near future. It suggests that Jon Snow is indeed a Stark but not Ned's son. How could that possibly work? Well, here's the very brief explanation.

Many believe Lyanna Stark, Ned's sister, wasn't killed by Rhaegar Targaryen, but she died giving birth to their son, JON. Ned couldn't save Lyanna, but he couldn't let the truth of Jon's true parentage become common knowledge so he blotched his honour and claimed Jon was his own. If the theory is correct, Jon is a true-born Stark with half Targaryen blood.

That is a lethal combination and could lead to him being a contender for the Throne if there's a way to resurrect him. Lyanna is discussed in the crypts beneath Winterfell, and the background history from Robert's point of view is fascinating.
