2. Tiger King - The Memes!
It was early 2020 and the whole world were being forced inside because of a killer virus, wildfires were ravaging the Austrian bush and the British Royal Family were in the news for a historic family split. Yet it was none of these things that the human race found themselves obsessing over. No, it was a little American docu-series named Tiger King.
The series took the world by storm with its off-the-wall caricature-like cast, the wacky, surreal drama and series-tone-switching plot twist. Joe Exotic was the name on everybody’s lips and anything that went wrong in life was being blamed on god-damn Carole Baskin.
But the most important take away from the show, was not the assassination plot, or the conspiracy theories about what happened to Don Lewis. Of course not, it was the memes. The memes!
