10 Times The Simpsons Blew It

9. The Simpsons Go To Toronto

This one might be a little obscure to some, but if you're from a city that's been on the show, you're usually eagerly anticipating it spoofing your home. "The Bart Wants What It Wants" took aim at Toronto, and we had high hopes. Well, lets just say that the Simpson family going to Toronto was a big let down. Unlike Brazil, which found the show's portrayal of Rio offensive, the episode - heavily advertised at the time of its airing - barely featured the city at all, and Canadians pretty much let out a collective "eh? What was all the fuss aboot?" In fact, the family doesn't even make it there until the last segment, and even then, it's really just as an excuse for Bart to follow Rainier Wolfcastle's daughter somewhere other than Springfield. The only decent joke at the expense of Toronto (or really Canada) had Bart and Milhouse joining the Canadian national basketball team and being better than the lot of them. We guess Steve Nash wasn't around that day.
