10 Times The Simpsons Got Political

9. Trumptastic Voyage

Much Apu About Nothing The Simpsons
Fox

A short film created by The Simpsons producers specifically to parody Presidential hopeful Donald Trump, Trumptastic Voyage is akin to an acid trip through Donald Trump's hair (or hair piece).

With not-so-subtle jabs at Trump's candidacy (such as supporters holding "paid" "vote" signs in the background of a Trump appearance), it's more than a little blunt - but then, Trump himself is more than a little blunt.

Released online in the summer of 2015, the clip is an obvious nod to sci-fi classic The Fantastic Voyage. Homer takes $50 to be a Trump "supporter" only to be drawn into the man's hair while on an escalator. Within, he finds simians from Planet of the Apes and 2001, Amelia Earhart, the Hamburgler, and even a sign stating "America, You Can Be My Ex-Wife."

Frankly, America might be better off being left at the alter. In any case, this being a short, it's hard to rank it higher, but it's definitely worth a watch.
