In the early days of Parks & Recreation, it felt like Leslie's unwavering loyalty and devotion to her friends wasn't often recognised or repaid. However, as time went on, the other characters began to notice everything she did for them and their relationships became a little more two-way. By the time Leslie married Ben in season 5, the show had fully embraced the idea that the Parks department employees loved each other unconditionally. So when Leslie and Ben announced that they'd decided to marry immediately rather than the planned long engagement, all of their friends rallied around to create a personal, perfect day. Though this isn't really an example of Leslie going above and beyond, it is a testament to how lovable the character was that it seemed realistic for all of her friends to drop everything to help her out. Also, anyone who has helped plan a wedding knows that getting it all done in a single day (rather than over months of planning meetings and passive aggressive emails) is a rare blessing.
