Leslie's commitment to inspiring others didn't just extend to her peers. She also believed in empowering young people, particularly young women, which is why she set up the Brownies-like scout group The Pawnee Goddesses. The troop are encouraged to be strong and smart and positive about themselves and their own achievements. They receive near-constant reinforcement, win excellent rewards and enjoy a puppy party, which is exactly what it sounds like. Also, they all wear adorable purple outfits, which is a definite bonus. The Goddesses eventually allow boys to join their group because, come on, no kid should be deprived the chance to attend a puppy party. Leslie's commitment to these kids and to equality are inspiring to all her friends, even April. Here's hoping someone out there is actually forming Goddess-like troops and shaping the tiny Leslies of the world.
Brydie is an Australian writer and performer living in London and she complains exactly the same amount about the weather as every other Australian living in London. Yes, that is her natural lip colour, no, she will not be taking any further questions at this time.
