10 TV Character Deaths Not Even The Actors Saw Coming

This one is a little more understandable than most, as the writers of Lost didn't off the character played by Fast and Furious star Michelle Rodriguez with a reasonable cause.

Her character Ana Lucia Cortez may have seemed vital to proceedings in this twisty mystery when she was introduced, but within the same season she had been swiftly killed off with little fanfare. Rodriguez was one of the more recognizable cast members, having already established herself in handful of prominent supporting roles in blockbusters, so why was her character offed without even the actor herself getting much prior warning?

Well, mainly because Rodriguez ran the production into trouble with the state of Hawaii via a DUI arrest which threatened the state's co-operation with the studio's filming. So, not totally out of nowhere then.
