10 TV Characters We REALLY Didn't Want To Die

9. Hank Schrader (Breaking Bad)

Bran Hodor Game of Thrones
AMC

This one really hurt.

There were a lot of deaths in Breaking Bad, some sad, some justified, but it was Hank Schrader's death that really felt like a punch to the gut.

Hank was a lovable buffoon. Sure, he was a bit of a jobsworth at times and yes we were ashamed of ourselves for rooting for the drug lord Walter White over the straight and steady DEA agent Hank Schrader, but that was just the ethics of the show. Plus, It was obvious from the very beginning that Hank wouldn't make it. Not only was he a DEA agent but he was also Walter's brother-in-law, he was asking for trouble.

However, there was still a part of us that hoped Walter would step in. Surely he wouldn't let something so unjust happen to his own family? When it finally came to Hank's death, Walter did try a little, but in the end, Hank knew it was too late proclaiming to Walter, "You're the smartest guy I ever met but you're too stupid to see. He made up his mind ten minutes ago."

One bullet later, and Hank was gone.
