10 TV Fan Favourites Who Suffered Shockingly Brutal Deaths
3. Gus - Breaking Bad
On Breaking Bad, Gus was intelligent, mild-mannered, and ruthless. So it almost goes without saying that despite his status as a cold-blooded villain, he had quite a following amongst viewers. He was part enterprising entrepreneur, part pillar of the community and owner of a chain of fried chicken restaurants. But he was also a chillingly cunning drug lord who ran a multi-million dollar crystal meth operation out of a laundry facility on the side, which Walter and Jesse managed to get themselves mixed up in. But as these things are wont to happen, their arrangement quickly went south. Some things were said, feelings were hurt, and all of a sudden it's like World War III up in here. As far as bad guys go, Gus was one of the best. But alas, all good things must come to an end, and when you live by the sword, you tend to die by the sword. Or in this case, a giant retirement community explosion. Walter White finally got in the game, and the resulting injuries made Harvey Dent's burns look like a couple of paper cuts. Needless to say, Gus was no more but he does claim the distinction of having easily the most gruesome on screen death ever featured on Breaking Bad.
