In the lead-up to the release of The Mandalorian's second season, a devastating rumour began to pick up traction online, that the man behind the armour himself, Pedro Pascal, had actually quit the show mid-way through filming season two.

This hubbub was largely due to infamous YouTuber Grace Randolph, who claimed that Pascal quit the show due to spending so much of his screen time with his face under a helmet. Randolph further claimed that Mando would be replaced by Boba Fett for season three.

Given that Randolph has over 930,000 YouTube subscribers alone, the rumour quickly went viral and was parroted as "fact" by the masses. Even when members of the cast and crew refuted her claims, Randolph refused to retract them.

With it being no secret that Pascal wasn't always playing the Mandalorian underneath the armour, it seemed plausible enough to fans that a creative disagreement could've led to his departure.

And so, for much of season two many were left wondering whether Disney was indeed on damage control duty.

But of course, there was no secret to be kept - Pascal took part in production of the entire season and is back for the currently-shooting third season. Phew.
