5. The Coffee Cup - Game Of Thrones
Because Game of Thrones' eighth and final season wasn't harangued by enough issues, its fourth episode, "The Last of the Starks," features one of the most widely-mocked screw-ups in TV history.
During the banquet sequence, a coffee cup can be briefly seen on the table by Daenerys (Emilia Clarke), and given the show's fantastical setting, that's quite the immersion-breaking mistake to make.
Fans who noticed the error were left beside themselves that nobody among the cast and crew spotted the cup during filming or even during post-production, yet it evidently ended up hiding in plain sight. As the scene went viral on social media, however, HBO quickly got to work digitally erasing the cup, even if it nevertheless lives on thanks to those who clipped the scene out of the original airing and posted it to YouTube.
The viral moment proved embarrassing enough for HBO that they made a concerted effort to look out for errant coffee cups while shooting the first season of prequel series House of the Dragon.
