Fans of the 90s Sabrina The Teenage Witch TV series won't be able to forget Sabrina's (Melissa Joan Hart) eccentric biology teacher Mr. Pool, played with awkward charm by now-filmmaker Paul Feig.

But what you might've missed, and what was staring you right in the face this entire time, is the clever pun hidden within Mr. Pool's full name. It's occasionally mentioned that his full name is Eugene Pool, as in "Gene" Pool, get it?

Given that Sabrina touted a fairly sophisticated sense of humour for a show aimed at young children, it shouldn't be terribly surprising that they'd sneak a pun past us like this. But even so, almost 25 years on, it's impressive how few fans have caught this joke.
