10 TV Show Spin-Offs That Are Practically Flawless

2. Frasier

Better Call Saul Gus Fring
NBC

From: Cheers.

Though it doesn't quite reach the highs of its inspiration Cheers, Frasier is still an influential sitcom masterpiece in its own right, running for over 260 episodes without losing things to say or joke about.

Anchored by the defining performance of Kelsey Grammer and great supporting work from John Mahoney as his unpretentious father Martin and David Hyde Pierce as his particular brother Niles, Frasier made the most of its simple premise - sons forced to care for estranged father - to create great comedic tension and drama.

It admittedly ran for too long (after twelve seasons, what show hasn't?), but its early years more than made up for its later foibles. As is the case with all the best sitcoms, its easy humour, relatable characters, and endearing cast made it a blissful, comforting experience, easily rewatchable and endlessly quotable.
