Why it Might Be Cancelled

There's been a lot of talk about Season 6 being the end of New Girl (an event I am emotionally unprepared for, I'll admit), with star Jake Johnson recently commenting that it was probably "done" after this year, and that's been backed up by reports that the season finale very much feels like a series finale too. It has dropped a bit in the ratings too, which might mean it's reached a natural endpoint.

Why It Might Not

New Girl has been a solid hit for Fox for a good while now, and it has a very loyal fan-base who'd be sad to see it go. It also boasts some decent star power with the likes of Johnson and Zooey Deschanel, while the producers have sounded more hopeful of a renewal recently.

With Upfronts on the way next month, where networks will start to lay out their plans for the 2017/18 fall season, we're not too far off learning the fates of these and others (as well as those mentioned throughout the article, the likes of The Blacklist (and its spin-off), 2 Broke Girls, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Timeless, and Pitch are all at risk too).

Which TV shows do you want to see survive? Which should be cancelled? Sound off in the comments below.
