10 TV Shows That Cleverly Foreshadow What Happens

6. 30 Rock - Kenneth's Longevity

GLEN WALKING DEAD
NBC

30 Rock was a creative and witty series that featured some strange characters, but none could match the oddity that was NBC Paige, Kenneth Parcell. The ever-joyous Parcell, whose real first name was Andromakennethamblesortin, would often make strange comments while smiling in a way that suggested he might go for your neck at any moment.

One of the weirdest things about Kenneth... at least if you paid attention to the things he was saying even if none of the characters did, was that his age was somewhat indiscernible. In point of fact, the man made comments suggesting he was far older than he appeared.

This continued throughout the entire series in what would become a masterful stroke of foreshadowing, because while his age was impossible to figure out, it was pretty clear the guy was somehow immortal.

There were around 20 well-crafted quips, jokes, and references to Kenneth's age across the series' seven seasons, but the payoff didn't come until the very end. When the show finally concluded, it did so with a futuristic backdrop of flying cars zipping behind a happy (and completely unaged) Kenneth, working as the head of NBC where he is receiving a pitch from a woman who is clearly Liz's granddaughter.
