10 TV Shows That Deserve The Funko Pop! Vinyl Treatment

Nothing screams "I'm a fan of this show" like buying small, stylized toys based on it.

Funko has gone from making quirky bobble heads to being one of the largest toy manufacturers in the world. That success is primarily due to their Pop! Vinyl brand, a massive worldwide toy line. Their quirky, stylized design made them a hit with fans after a preview line of DC characters was released at San Diego Comic-Con 2010.

But it wasn't just their design that made them popular.

The Pop! Vinyl line has hundreds of licenses from movies, TV, video games and more. They've even got a range of real life people from music, sports and history. Even someone who doesn't usually collect toys has Pop! Vinyls because Funko made that one UFC fighter or director they love. That huge range of options, plus almost every retail store carrying a selection of them, has made the line an absolute juggernaut.

Despite Funko's astonishing catalog of products and licenses, there are still a surprising number of TV series that don't have Pop! Vinyls, yet. There could be a number of reasons for this but any of these lines could and should be coming in the future.

10. 3rd Rock From The Sun

One of the most surprising TV hits of the late 1990s was NBC's 3rd Rock From the Sun. Starring John Lithgow, Jane Curtin and a young Joseph Gordon-Levitt, the series was about a group of aliens disguised in human bodies doing research on Earth. Through their research and misunderstandings of Earth's culture, the aliens grew to love the planet and its inhabitants.

While the aliens were earnest, they were also absolutely ridiculous and constantly over the top in all their reactions to what they learned.

It's a series that has huge potential for a Pop! Vinyls line. Naturally, the main characters would be excellent but they had great recurring characters like William Shatner's Big Giant Head. That's not a commentary on Shatner's appearance. He quite literally played the human form of the aliens' leader, the Big Giant Head.
